Inadequate Security

Stairways

The stairways and stairwells in buildings, even newer buildings, are often the scene of premises liability accidents. There may be inadequate lighting in the stairwell, rendering it difficult to see the steps, the flight of stairs may be too narrow, or the steps may be in violation of building codes, making them too high and difficult to navigate. Missing or loose handrails can also result in stairway injuries. I help clients that have been injured on a stairway due to a misstep or falling down the stairs.
